Data protection

Data protection

Each One Teach One (EOTO) eV takes the protection of personal data very seriously. We want you to know when we collect which data and how we use it.

1. Personal data

Personal data is individual information about the personal and factual circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person. This includes information such as your name, address, postal address, telephone number. Information that is not associated with your identity (such as the number of users of the website) is not included. The use of our website is usually possible without providing personal data. We store your information on specially protected servers in Germany. Access is only possible for a few specially authorized persons who are responsible for the technical, commercial or editorial support of the servers. In connection with your access, data is temporarily stored on our servers for security purposes, which could possibly allow identification (e.g. IP address, date, time and pages viewed). The IP address is then anonymized. It is not used to identify the user and neither directly personal nor pseudonymized user profiles are created. The statistical analysis of anonymous data records remains reserved.

2. Newsletter

If you have given your express consent, we will use your email address to send you our newsletter on a regular basis. An email address is sufficient to receive the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time, for example via a link at the end of each newsletter. Alternatively, you can send your unsubscribe request at any time to pr@eoto-archiv.de by email.

3. Disclosure of personal data to third parties

We use your personal information (e.g. name, address or email address) in the case of a newsletter subscription only within EOTO eV It is up to you to decide whether you want to enter this data. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent.

4. Web statistics

We use the open source software Matomo for analysis and statistical evaluation of the use of the website. Data is collected and stored for optimization purposes on the website. Cookies are used for this (see 5. Use of cookies). The information generated by cookies about website usage is transmitted to our servers and summarized in pseudonymous user profiles. The information is used to evaluate the use of the website and to enable our website to be designed as required. The information will not be passed on to third parties. Under no circumstances will the IP address be associated with other data relating to the user. The IP addresses are anonymized so that an assignment is not possible (IP masking). (Your visit to this website is currently being recorded by Matomo web analysis. (Click here https://matamo.org/ docs / privacy / so that your visit is no longer recorded.)

5. Use of cookies

We use cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files that your browser automatically creates that are saved locally in the cache of the website visitor's Internet browser when you visit our website. Cookies enable recognition of the Internet browser. Cookies do not cause any damage to your end device and do not contain viruses, Trojans or other malware. Information is stored in the cookie, which results in connection with the specific device used. However, this does not mean that we are immediately aware of your identity. We use cookies to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offer for you (see Section 5). These cookies enable us to automatically recognize when you visit our site again that you have already been with us. These cookies are automatically deleted after a defined period. 6. Social media pugins from Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest using the “2-click solution”

So-called social plugins, “plugins” from the social networks Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest, are used on our website. These services are offered by the companies Facebook Inc., Facebook Ireland Limited and Pinterest Inc. In order to increase the protection of your data when visiting our website, the plugins are integrated into the page by means of a so-called “2-click solution”. This integration ensures that when you access a page on our website that contains such plugins, no connection is yet established with the Facebook, Instagram or Pinterest servers. Your browser will only establish a direct connection to the Facebook, Instagram or Pinterest servers when you activate the plugins and thereby give your consent to data transfer. The content of the respective plugin is then transmitted directly to your browser by the associated provider and integrated into the page. By integrating the plugins, the providers receive the information that your browser has called up the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a profile with the relevant provider or are not currently logged in. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted from your browser directly to a server of the respective provider and stored there. If you are logged into one of the social networks, the providers can assign your visit to our website to your profile on Facebook, Instagram or Pinterest. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the "Like" or the "Share" button, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a server of the provider and stored there. The information is also published on the social network or on your corresponding account and displayed there to your contacts. The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by the provider as well as your rights and setting options for protecting your privacy can be found in the privacy policy of the provider.
